1. The Banana and Tomato Problem

Bunches of bananas lined up. In between some poor single ones. Who wants to buy them if you need 3? Instead of breaking off 3 of a bunch, just take 3 singles to save them from the bin. Same with tomatoes.

2. The Freaks

I don´t understand how everyone wants to buy the perfect straight vegetables. The crazy shapes are so much cooler. Maybe I prefer the weird ones because I am also a bit outa line. Not mainstream, different but very interesting and special.

3. Dolphins and turtles rescue

Well not really rescue, but prevention. The small plastic bags we use for the fruits mostly end up in our oceans. By time the look like jelly fishes in the water, the food of dolphins and turtles. They try to eat them and tragically die. Just wash your fruits when you are home. No one needs those plastic bags!

4. Sharing is caring

You want to have waffles on Sunday but don´t own a waffle maker? No problem, just ask your friends and relatives who live near you. They sure lend you one. Your neighbour’s lawn mower is broke? Just offer him to share yours! Why buy things you just need a few times? Share!

5. Just girly things

Sure you already heard about this but never tried it: the menstruation cup. It makes absolutely no sense to spend money on cotton every month to just throw away. Mostly because tampons often are not even made out of cotton but plastic. Also they contain lots of chemicals that make you bleed more so you have to use/buy more. The menstruation cup lasts ~10 years, is easy to use and very handy. E.g.: going to the swimming pool is no problem anymore.

6. Recup

You love coffee to go? How long do you keep your cup? ~10 Minutes? What a waste! Just take your own Reusable Cup with you instead of producing more trash. Most coffee shops offer to refill and a thermo cup keeps your coffee hot for a longer time.

7. Keep it simple

Did you know that the best product to brush your teeth with is coconut oil? Sure! You can also wash your hair with rye flour. And baking soda with coconut oil is a perfect deodorant. At first this might sound a bit strange to you. Society taught you that you need all this chemical stuff, but if you research a bit, you will find out, that there are more cheaper and more natural ways for your everyday routines.

8. Notes/Shopping list

Sometimes you go shopping and just buy lots and lots of things. At the end you don´t need all of it. Before you make this completely human mistake again, write down, what you really need. There are also very handy apps for your mobile phone. This way you don´t have to waste any paper. Win win.

9. Do it yourself

Nothing is better than selfmade presents. It shows that you made an effort for the other one. How about a selfmade liquor out of tea, sugar and schnapps or jam out of pumpkin, water and sugar. If you are very creative you can make soaps. Coupons for quality time together are also a very good idea. Don´t forget to add the secret ingredient: love.

10. Go Vegan

You need 15400 litres (128 full bath tubs) of water to produce 1kg of beef. Soy beans just need 1800 litres. The amount of antibiotics used in animal farming is 7x the amount of antibiotics used in hospitals. Also animal husbandry is responsible for 91% of the deforestation of the rain forest. All these facts are no secret. There is no need to consume animal products. And why is it even called a product? Animals are not a product, they are living beings.
